Presentation Policy

Policy Overview
EFM Programming is dedicate to local community information sharing and to make the most appropriate use of the Community Class broadcasting licence held by Eastern Community Broadcasters on behalf of the local community.

The EFM Program Policy outlines the parameters within which programming is developed and presented for and by the local community.

 

Policy Objective
EFM aims to provide listeners with local community information and resources within a framework of program presentations, which are accessible to both the committed and casual listener.

Whilst it is acknowledge that most people in the EFM license area would not listen to EFM exclusively, the aim is to develop and present programs which encourage listeners to access certain EFM Programs and information regularly.

 

EFM Programming Philosophy

EFM Programs:
• Provide local community information sharing
• Have specific relevance to the local community
• Are mostly made by the local community to provide an alternative to other broadcasters
• Are accessible to both casual and dedicated listeners
• Include local community information and notices
• Offer information to and about the local community
• Incorporate members of the wider local community
• Encourage and solicit input by the wider community
• Invite feedback from the listening audience
• Are interactive with the listening audience
• Complement and promote each other
• Are cohesive and invite listening across the day
• Address special interests/needs at specific time
• Promote equal opportunity
